Downsizing erodes us these days. My paycheck, pension and prospects all shrank last month during Black October. I'll bet you feel skinnier, too. We'll try to ignore the fact that Uncle Sugar is rewarding the pinstripes on Wall Street with billions after they drove our once shiny economy into a wall.
